About Us
Welcome to our sunny high plateau in Natz-Schabs, right in the heart of South Tyrol – where the Dolomites feel close enough to touch and life slows to a gentler pace. Since 1978, our family has been running this boutique hotel in the Dolomites, passing on not only the keys, but also a passion for creating a place unlike anywhere else.
A house built around minerals
The Mineralienhotel is home to more than 1,500 mineral specimens from over 50 countries, making it one of the most extensive private collections in the entire Alpine region. From sparkling quartz clusters to rare, colourful formations, each piece has its own story – and together they give our hotel its soul.
You’ll spot them everywhere: in quiet corners, along the hallways, in the garden and rooms– and most strikingly, in the lounge, where a 2,000-kg rock crystal from Brazil stands as our proud centrepiece. Life on the high plateau
At over 900 metres above sea level, our hotel in the Dolomites is surrounded by open skies and endless views. In summer, meadows and trails lead you into nature. In winter, snow-dusted peaks and eight ski areas are within easy reach. And in between, there’s always time to sit back, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and watch the light play across the landscape.

Who is behind the Team?
The heart of our boutique hotel in the Dolomites is our people. We’re a family-run place, and you’ll notice it in the way we work together and welcome our guests
The Klement Family
Markus – Our mineral specialist, passionate collector, and head of the kitchen. He knows the story behind every piece in the hotel and loves sharing them during his guided tours – when he’s not creating fresh dishes for our guests.
Elisabeth – The morning energy at reception and the eye for detail in every corner of the hotel. She takes care of the decorations that give the house its charm and can also be found in the evening, making sure the dinner service runs smoothly.
Sophia – Reception and organisation are her world, ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. In the evenings, she also curates our cocktail and drinks menu, bringing variety and creativity to the bar.
Noah – In charge of service and hotel operations. As a certified sommelier, he creates our wine list and leads the service team, making sure everything flows effortlessly.
The Team Around Us
Our kitchen, housekeeping, and service staff are part of the family spirit too. They’re the reason rooms are spotless, meals taste fresh, and the atmosphere stays relaxed.
